HORESHOE BEND

IF YOU FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM (WHICH YOU REALLY SHOULD, @THENSOWHAT) THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT I VISITED ANTELOPE CANYON WAY BACK WHEN IN OCTOBER. BUT SPRING WEATHER IS ALSO PERFECT ROAD TRIP / CAMPING WEATHER. AS THE SNOW FADES, A DRIVE THROUGH UTAH + A CHEEKY SKIP PAST THE BORDER INTO ARIZONA IS THE IDEAL POST-WINTER VACATION. IT'S ALSO AN EASY, SCENIC ROUTE WITH LOTS TO SEE. I SWEAR THE WHOLE STATE IS JUST NATIONAL PARKS AND NOTHING ELSE, NOT TO MENTION ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.

YOU CAN FIND HORESHOE BEND IN PAGE, ARIZONA. FROM THE TRAIL HEAD, IT TAKES A LITTLE WALK UP A HILL THEN DOWN AN INCLINE TO FIND THE CANYON, WHICH IS APPARENTLY A 3/4 MILE WALK EACH WAY. BUT IN THE BLISTERING HEAT, FIFTEEN MINUTES FEELS MORE LIKE THIRTY. YES, I'M A WIMP, BUT I PROMISE IT'S WORTH IT. THOUGH FAIR WARNING, THERE'S NOT MUCH ELSE THERE.

HOWEVER NEARBY ANTELOPE CANYON AND LAKE POWELL ARE ALSO WORTH THE VISIT AND YOU CAN EASILY STOP BY ALL THREE IN A DAY OR TWO (PHOTOS TO COME SOON!).
